We make shift happen

We’re a team of 30-odd people working together to find the words that shift the world. That’s our purpose. And while we’re a motley crew, it’s one goal we all have in common, whether we’re a few feet or a whole ocean apart.

The rest of the time, you might find us swapping book recs (okay, Netflix recs), helping out at literacy charities and sending a few too many gifs in our emails.

What we do (when we’re not working)

Celebrate

Our Summer and Winter Days Out have included whale watching, dragon boat racing, bread making, popsicle crafting and prosecco popping.

Give back

We use our annual volunteer days to promote literacy and education in our two hometowns.

Get together

Our monthly gatherings, events, and (often) crafts take the mandatory out of fun.

Bond

We all share the Writer qualities: love language, care about quality, mind the numbers, feed curiosity, and grow together.

The Writer team

The best way to get to know someone? Their favourite word. And if you’ve ever worked with us, you’ve probably shared yours. If you haven’t – start thinking. Chances are, we’ll ask.

Fiercely inquistive and a bit of dreamer, our US Head of Growth and Strategy Jack is fortunate to have such an intelligent team help deliver (impeccably) on his proposals.

Senior Account Manager Chloe Davies has warm, gooey feelings about language. (Two words which incidentally describe her ideal cheese.) Clients soon come to share her enthusiasm.

Account Manager Oliver knows a thing or two about handling clients. After all, he used to be one of ours. He comes from a family of big-heads (of the plastic figurine variety). Ask him. He'll love it.

An ex-sub-editor, Jake gets his kicks making each word earn its place on a page. When not associate creative directing you’ll find him following football, playing guitar or denying the '90s are over.

Sally loves being a first port of call for our new clients and getting to the bottom of what they need. She also works behind the scenes to help make our weird and wonderful marketing ideas happen.
